Please find below our training opportunities below to support you in your role.

Key Dates 2026-27
Please find below a list of monitoring and reporting dates. If you are an induction tutor and/or headteacher, please add these to your school calendar. These deadlines are published in advance to support workload and your support in meeting these published deadlines is appreciated.
Online Training Dates 2026-27
For training sessions, a number of dates are available so teachers can work around their school commitments. For new induction tutors, please attend one of the New Induction Tutor briefings nearest to your start date.
New for 206-27, for experienced induction tutors, we are now running termly sessions to provide ongoing training for the role. Please attend at least one session per academic year; you’re welcome to join more, as each session has a different focus.
There are also training events for new ECTs and mentors, governors and headteachers. Please share this information with respective parties as appropriate.
All sessions are held online via MS Teams. Links will be shared via our monthly newsletters. Please contact the AB team if you would like further information about joining the sessions: AB@harrisinstitute.org.uk

Designed for new ECTs and Mentors, join our Regional Appropriate Body Lead, Kate Castro Martin, to find out about ECT induction. PPR Walk-Thru - November 2025
A must-view for all new Induction Tutors, or those Induction Tutors who require a refresher. This recording includes an overview of the PPR (Professional Progress Review) process; writing an effective PPR; approaching a difficult PPR and completing a PPR on ECT Manager.
