Please find below our training opportunities below to support you in your role.

Key Dates 2025-26
Our key monitoring and reporting dates are shown below.
Please note these reflect an ECT commencing Induction in September of the given year. For ECTs who do not commence Induction in September, the reporting deadlines will still be the same, but the type of report required to complete may differ. The type of report due for completion will always be clearly shown on ECT Manager.
Key Dates 2026-27
Please find below a list of all monitoring, reporting and training dates for Harris Institute Appropriate Body during 2026/27. For training sessions, a number of dates are available so teachers can work around their school commitments. For new induction tutors, please attend one of the New Induction Tutor briefings nearest to your start date.
Termly sessions support induction tutors preparing for upcoming reports and provide ongoing training for the role. Please attend at least one session per academic year; you’re welcome to join more, as each session has a different focus.
There are also training events for new ECTs and mentors, governors and headteachers. Please share this information with respective parties as appropriate.

PPR Walk-Thru - November 2025
A must-view for all new Induction Tutors, or those Induction Tutors who require a refresher. This recording includes an overview of the PPR (Professional Progress Review) process; writing an effective PPR; approaching a difficult PPR and completing a PPR on ECT Manager.
